A large sauce pan should be slightly more than half filled with water. |

Add 1 teaspoon of salt and a few drops of vegetable oil. |

Bring this water to boil. |

Feed in the pasta to the water gradually, stirring with a wooden spoon or fork. |

Allow the pasta to cook for time suggested in the pasta packet. |

Dried spaghetti takes about 12 minutes to cook and thin noodles take a lesser time. |

Drain the cooked pasta into a colander. |

Return to the pan with some pepper and a knob of butter. |

Shake gently over low heat for about two minutes. |

Put the cooked pasta from the pan into a serving dish. |

Pour your favourite sauce which you cook separately on the pasta. |

The sauce can be tomato based with vegetables or meats. You can also try a white sauce with milk and butter of a light olive oils based sauce. |

Remember to garnish all pasta with grated cheese. Parmesan cheese is most preferred. Kids love your regular pizza cheese and processed cheese on the pasta as well. |
